Our Favourite History Resources for the New Year

New Year is all about looking forward – unless you’re a history teacher - in which case it’s more of a time to keep looking back! But it’s important to remember that while you might have your finger on the pulse of all things that have been and gone, your pupils might need a little helping hand when it comes to getting their head around the past.

Luckily, there are some amazing resources to heighten learning and understanding in the classroom. With this in mind, here are our top five history supplies for 2018.

Brainbox British History is a card game with questions that cover a wide breadth of subjects. It’s a tool that encourages players to think fast if they’re to come out on top as the winner. The information will sink in so easily that at first, the kids won’t even realise they’re learning because they’re having loads of fun at the same time.

Anglo-Saxon Britain Poster

The Anglo-Saxons era is one that’s undoubtedly interesting and exciting. While you can try to do the topic justice with your words alone, you’ll really spark your students’ understanding if you have an Anglo-Saxon Britain Poster. It’s arguably much more than a map featuring key boundaries because it can also act as a permanent wall display too.

Roman Numeral Bingo

Don’t forget that the best learning aids are the ones that manage to inject a bit of fun into things. This is certainly true of Roman Numeral Bingo. It’s designed to educate young minds about the numbers used by the Romans, while at the same time competing to get bingo.

Pankhursts Poster and Teachers Guide

That’s why this Pankhursts Poster and Teachers Guide is a must-have for any classroom. It’s a constant reminder that women ultimately became revolutionaries after movements led by the likes of Emmeline Pankhurst.

Ancient Egypt History Display Pack
